I was born in England in 1931 (do the math), I lived in London, Oxford and number of quaint villages during the war. My family moved to San Francisco when I was 19 - and I still love that city. I moved to Los Angeles in 1966 for an interesting career change and stayed 35 years. For some reason I thought that I might retire early and decided that Monterey was the ideal place for a British expat to retire. I bought a small house in Pebble Beach in the 70s and finally moved here permanently in 2004. Clearly, early retirement was not in the cards. What could get me out of here is difficult to imagine - for me personally, it’s paradise.
